In The Pink

Breast Cancer art demo and auction

The Pink gallery has been involved in helping raise funds for Breast Cancer care and research for some time and J P McLaughlin has been good enough to help out when ever we needed to raise a bit more for charity.
this event was another Pink one and we invited J P over to paint in the gallery in front of a large audience and the task was to complete a painting by 4 p.m. and then have the painting framed and auctioned off before the close of business. Well true to form J P turned up set up his easel and paints and set to work in oils, no mean feat when the clients are actually standing watching you work and give helpful hints on how it should look. J P took it in his stride and produced a wonderful monochrome in oils and finished it off with the most fitting piece of attire you could have asked for ........a pink ribbon and titled the piece "a touch of pink".

The day was complete when J P not only completed the painting but actually took straight to the new owners home and helped them to hang it in pride of place in their home.

The photograph below right is of Pamela giving J P some advice on how just how he should complete the painting.

TRUE COLOUR SUCCESS IN THE PINK GALLERY

70 ladies had a great evening at The Accessory Show in the Pink Gallery last week and due to it’s success there will be another show on Thursday 26 June. The show was hosted by image consultant Shirley Thornley of TRUE COLOURS, who demonstrated to the ladies how to look and feel good with their right accessories. Shirley, trained by colour me beautiful, explains that your clothes and accessories should work in balance and harmony with the colouring of your skin, hair and eyes. When you wear the right colour accessories your outfit looks complete and expensive. During the show you will see 36 looks, for many different occasions, modelled by 6 ladies with different colouring, showing that it’s all about colour and not cost.
