Margaret Latto
Margaret paints landscapes,mainly of the west coast of Scotland with its small crofts and wild scenery. Watercolours and sketches are made out of doors and developed later in the studio in acrylic, oil or mixed media.
She attended Glasgow School of Art adult day classes for many years, and has been tutored at home and abroad by many professional artists. She paints regularly with a group of artists from the Glasgow area , and has held several joint exhibitions with them under the name “Martes Group”.
She lives in Helensburgh, which is well placed for trips to the west and the Hebridean Islands, with Islay and Iona being favourite painting places.
